Connect with a board-certified oncologist that supports your pet’s comfort and quality of life.

Our approach

Kindred Path Vet is San Diego’s only in-home practice led by a specialist.

Dr. Crystal Garnett is proud to be the region’s only board-certified veterinary oncologist offering integrative care. With advanced training in both conventional cancer treatment and holistic modalities—including acupuncture, herbal medicine, and nutrition—she is uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive, personalized care. Her approach blends the best of both worlds: the foundations of evidence-based oncology and the healing principles of integrative medicine, supporting not just the disease, but the whole patient and their family.

Our mission is to bring comfort, dignity, and expert care directly to your pet’s most familiar space—home.

Whether you’re navigating a new cancer diagnosis, seeking integrative treatment options, or looking to ease your pet’s journey with palliative care, we offer personalized support focused on quality of life, pain management, and emotional connection.

At Kindred Path Vet, we honor both the science and spirit of healing, supporting families through some of the most difficult and meaningful moments of their pets’ lives.

What we provide

1

Integrative Treatment

We combine the strengths of conventional oncology with holistic therapies to treat the whole patient—not just the disease. Every care plan is personalized, balancing clinical goals with comfort, quality of life, and the human-animal bond.

2

Individualized Plans

No two pets—or families—are the same. We take time to understand each patient’s diagnosis, temperament, and home environment, creating treatment plans that reflect their unique medical needs and lifestyle.

3

Collaborative Care

We work closely with your primary care veterinarian and, when appropriate, other specialists to ensure a coordinated approach. Whether we are guiding long-term care or providing hospice support, communication and continuity are central to our process.

4

In-Home Care

By offering mobile services, we reduce the stress of travel and allow pets to be treated where they feel safest. For families who prefer in-office visits, we also provide scheduled appointments at our partnered location.

"You have made such a huge difference in our lives, and we will always be grateful. I’m certain you saved Gracie’s life.

Before I met you, I hadn’t experienced such warm and reassuring care from a Veterinarian. You go the extra mile. You demonstrate a superb level of care—far above many doctors."
